Men's Club
What is Men's Club ?
Two words define the Beth Am Men's Club -- brotherhood and volunteerism. The Men's Club provides the opportunity for men in the temple to participate in a social organization within the temple, whether it is only a "guy's night out" - often dinner and a movie at the mall, fishing at the Jersey shore, a golf outing, playing softball, etc., or a social function with spouses or girlfriends. The Men's Club provides an opportunity to take a break from work and weekend/evening domestic responsibilities, and get together with friends for more enjoyable activities. The Men's Club, is an "arm" of the temple, which enables us to fulfill our interest and willingness to serve our temple family by volunteering available time and effort to help the temple in whatever way we can. We're happy, and proud, to assist in the functioning of the temple. We perform fundraising activities such as golf outings, defensive driver training classes, bowling nights, road rallys, etc. which enable us to provide the temple with financial assistance such as maintaining our sound system and purchasing chairs for the social hall. We assist in providing usher coverage on Fridays, as well as the High Holidays, and activities such as repainting the curbs and spaces in the parking lot. We try to encourage and increase the social activities available to temple members such as our recent Mothers Day Brunch and the upcoming Military Bridge Night and Bowling Night. We are especially proud to honor, at our annual Murray Sherman Brunch, the temple members who deserve more than a simple "thank you" or pat on their back for their extraordinary efforts during the year for the time and effort spent on behalf of the temple and the local community. We take pride in our participating with the temple members who volunteer their time and effort to serve on the temple's many "arms" and committees, which is essential to continue to provide all of the services that the temple provides to all of our members.
