Principal's Letter
I ask parents who are not involved with either Sisterhood or our Men’s Club:
please support these arms of our Temple. Each group does a significant
amount, all year round, to support the youth of Beth Am. Your support of
Sisterhood and/or Men’s Club strengthens them and I hope all of you will
become involved in these important arms of our Temple. Your fellow
congregants will welcome you warmly, and beside that, you will feel very much
enriched by being connected and involved this way at Beth Am. Those of you
already involved, thank you!
Our children and families have been very busy the past few months! We baked
about 800 hamantaschen, enjoyed a fifth and sixth grade overnight Shabbat
Retreat at the Stony Point Retreat, our eighth and ninth graders led Shabbat
morning services, our fifth graders presented a mock wedding as part of their
Life-Cycle studies, and sixth graders led our Tu B’shevat Seder and a Friday
night Shabbat service. Hebrew High students prepared this year’s Purim
Shpiel, and so much more!
This year, I’m hoping to bring your enrollment forms to you electronically,
in response to requests from many parents. When you receive yours, please
return it to me promptly to avoid multiple email requests and delays in
enrollment follow-up and class set up.
B’ahavah (with love) ~Marian
