ABOUT THE YOUTH GROUP
Beth Am Temple has active Junior and Senior Youth Groups. Junior Youth Group serves 6th, 7th and 8th grade while the Senior Youth Group provides activities for our High School students. The programs developed by the Youth Group Advisor and the student council encourage social involvement amongst Jewish peers in the community, provide informal Jewish learning and social action opportunities, and are lots of fun!
Some of the activities this past year included bowling, a scavenger hunt, painting the Youth lounge, laser tag, a senior dance, planting flowers in the Temple garden, a trip to Great Adventure, running the annual Purim carnival, and writing and leading a special worship service. Our Youth Group often participates in activities in conjunction with other area Youth Groups and also participates in NFTY activities when possible.
The Youth Committee consists of parents who are interested in offering guidance and suggestions to our Youth Advisor and teens and oversees the activities of the youth groups and is responsible for hiring the Youth Group Advisor.
